A lot of those small schools aren't watched like the larger ones. They slide under the radar until the postseason where they get whooped because they can't use their shortcuts anymore.

Sure other people cheat, but that doesn't make it any better.

JJ Watt became good because he catches balls from Juggs machines at really close range

PED's don't take you from a college walk-on to one of the greatest NFL defensive players of all-time.

PED's would certainly help, but the guy is obviously special whether he takes PED's or not.

In some cases they could. It's not like he was a monster who took PEDs to shave a tenth off his 40. Didn't he completely change his approach and body? Aside from his hard work, PEDs could potentially have been the greatest factor.

All of them

But for the sake of discussion, I'll mention all current or potential Hall of Famers:

Jeter
Pettite
Biggio
Bagwell
Piazza
Pujols
Papi
Helton

Jesus, that was just 30 seconds off the top of my head not including the obvious ones. Although, I think most of my list is pretty obvious. Arreita has obviously done something recently. I don't follow as much as I used to, though. And I don't blame any of them. The reward is so much greater than the risk. Why wouldn't you do something?

Steroids are more common than people would think in every professional sport. These sports are these athletes' livelihood. They provide them millions of dollars to be serviceable and injury free, so you best believe a lot of people will take whatever advantage helps them achieve that.

Not only do they make you bigger, faster, and stronger, they decrease your recovery time, which is probably the most important benefit to athletes with long seasons or physically demanding sports.

There's also many ways to get past drug tests in sports, politics being a factor as well.

Trout - wasn't a power hitter in the minors. Look at his neck

Ortiz - don't suspect, we know. Tested positive

Arrieta. Went to college with this guy. Was an average college pitcher. Was shocked he even made it to the majors, never thought he would even get that far

No matter what career path you choose, if you could take an illegal drug that would exponentially increase your salary, in some cases by multiples of 10, and even find ways to hide it, you'd do it. Once you add millions of dollars and fame to the equation, there is no decision to make.

I just assume about 80% of today's pro athletes are taking PEDs.

Every relief pitcher since rapid recovery is essential to their availability and velocity.

Idk, that shite happens with pitchers. I grew up with Sale and he was nothing special. Many of us were better than him. Goes to GCU and turns into a MONSTER. Sometimes guys just figure it out later than others.

Ortiz's name was in the Mitchell report...no one knows exactly what he tested positive for, it could've been greenies or cocaine, who knows.

As for the rest of baseball, I think it's used far more recovery now than before. I would bet at least 40-50 % are doing something, not nessecarily for power, but recovery. I would bet 75-85% of all Latin players are doping somehow too. The thought of having to go back to their unbelievably impoverished lives is worth getting busted for. Just look at Melky Cabrera. Got busted, still signed a big deal and secured his family's well being for the rest of their lives.

They do anything and everything to make it, and I don't blame them. Many of them come from ridiculously poor conditions. It was unreal how many of them had scars from being shot or stabbed. Unless they were lying, they sometimes fight by wrapping one forearm with shirts and shite and go at each other with knives. Even if they were lying, the scars these guys had were real.

One of the first nights I was in the team hotel, I brokered a deal for two Doms and their hookers. Those kids were wild
