Who here would like to see Sherman burned for multiple catches/TDs sometime in the near future?
If the near future is next week, and both he and Dez Byant are mike'd up...in.

And he only plays one side

I believe he uses peds. He ran a 4.55 but never gets burned for speed? He has tested positive and avoided punishment due to procedural screw ups. Unless those screw ups involve putting drugs in his piss, they need more attention.
Also, seattle have a great all round d and massive home advantage.

he's a great athlete ... won cali state title in triple jump, finished 3rd in state finals of the 110 m hurdles, 6th in the long jump, and ran a 10.77 100 meters ... you can chalk it all up to roids if you want, but i'm betting against it ... guys good enough to get into stanford, communications degree aside, and has a chip on his shoulder from being drafted so late, relative to his opinion ... and he played wr in hs and at stanford before getting hurt ... add it all up and he's a helluva an athlete with a great motor and understanding of wr/cb play ... he's loud, but the nfl is entertainment ... that's its purpose ...

Extremely talented teammates.
If love to see him play in a man scheme without all pro safeties and a shitty pass rush just to see how good he would be.
This ^^^^^^
I'm not a hater, but he plays one side of the field and not the opponent's best receiver. That, combined with his mastery of self-promotion, and you have a better, defensive version of Ochocinco.

1. Doesn't cover the #1 Receiver all game
2. Had one of the BEST pass rushing DL in the game last year
3. Has 2 all pro safeties behind him just incase there's any frickups, they stop the bleeding. Also helps because he can be more aggressive knowing they have his back
4. Great team-mates and scheme
5. Very athletic with a work-ethic and high enough IQ to understand the game
He's a GREAT cornerback, but there are things about him that don't make him a complete shutdown corner. I'd still take him over any corner on the Saints though.

The secret is in how much he talks.

as an aside, who's the best cb in history? ... deion didn't like coming up and tackling - that's well documented, though in today's game he'd probably be even more accomplished, given the tilt to passing ... he was a true shut down corner, for the most part, in the passing game ... hard to rank cbs since the cover rules have changed so dramatically over the years ...

He has great size and ball skills. He also has the benefit of a fantastic pass rush and top notch safeties, so he never has to stick on a guy long and can take chances.

What is his secret to success?
Covering teams 2nd and 3rd WRs 80% of the time.

This. Doesn't cover a teams #1 WR all game like most CB's
What? Most CBs stay on one side. Here's an analysis from week 1 this season. Looks like the only person to follow around a #1 is Haden, who isn't doing it well.
LINK
quote:
Richard Sherman – 61 of 61 snaps on the left side
Patrick Peterson – 58 of 62 snaps on the left side
Darrelle Revis – 64 of 65 snaps on the left side
Keenan Lewis – Played all but one snap at LCB
Aqib Talib – Played all but two snaps at LCB
Brent Grimes – Played all but one snap at LCB
Joe Haden – Remained shadowing receivers as he was last season. Beaten for a touchdown and had a bad day at the office overall, grading at -4.6 for the day.

Man has Joe Haden had a rough start to the year. Giving up a passer rating of 155.3, worst in the league

But remember R Wilson isn't smart enough to make adjustments and plays against 2nd stringers.

That's an irrelevant stat w/out knowing where the WR's are lined up at.

Actually no it really isn't.
