I like the relegation idea.

ETA - So much so that I posted it twice.

I could dig this if they allowed one team that isn't included to make the playoffs...

eg, there would be a lower division that includes the big programs not included...they would play a playoff to determine who gets to make the "big dance"...

The only thing I like about it is that you would get good games all the time. Watching Ohio State beat Akron by 30 is fun for about 1 quarter.

Trading Ole Miss for Rocky Top?

Nah. I'm not good with this.

That's the biggest pipe dream I've ever seen. As in "on the pipe."

I was going to post the exact same thing, there needs to be mobility. These schools don't have infinitely more resources than the next tier to justify total separation.

No Arizona State, no Colorado, no Washington.

I doubt they're going to forego the Phoenix, Denver, and Seattle markets.

Lost all credibility with Penn State and Nebraska being included. Not sure who else should be, but both those teams best days are long ago.

The South Division will dominate.

You think ND, Mich and THE Ohio State will roll over?

Two of those will be in the playoff with Bama and LSU every year.

Clem, Georgia and FSU.

Stanford, USC and Oregon.

looks like fun.

Plus LSU will be playing all those top teams in the regular season, plus the required ULL/UL-Monroe/McNeese game to open with.

Basically honest. It consists of mostly power teams.

no Colorado

they are turrble

this can be like the English soccer leagues. if Colorado can win some games, they can bump the western bottom feeder to the lower division with Kansas and Purdue.

Sure. So does Texas, but until you get one, you're losing 10 or so games in that setup.

and the same could be said for every single program on that list

you think LSU would be winning 10+ games with that schedule with dinardo? or bama winning 10+ games with shula?
