What is the most Prestigious Bowl game ULL can go to?

Let's say in imaginary world that ULL went undeafeted. What is the highest bowl game they can play in?
To me it seems that no matter what they do in life they will only be destined for the New Orleans Bowl.
Also how do fans of ULL feel about the New Orleans Bowl? Is their any backlash about the fact that can never strive for more being stuck in the SunBelt?

probably whatever bowl Troy is getting in this year. They didn't go undefeated but they were ranked in the top 25 last I checked

Unless we can go to a really prestigious bowl, why not choose the NOLA Bowl over the other shitty bowls? We always make money off of it and it's a fun destination.

I mean, I'm being honest. Doesn't matter what we do in the belt, we're not getting into a nice bowl. Now to be fair to the hypothetical mentioned in the OP, Troy lost two games. If we went undefeated maybe we'd get a little more love. But probably not much more.

I'm looking forward to the matchup vs UL. Should be a good atmosphere in the Dome because Southern Miss and UL fans will travel well. I have a cousin who is in the UL band so I'm going to definitely get tickets for this one.

True, but it could happen. So ULL has an opportunity to reach those prestigious bowls by virtue of being a Group of Five member school in the Sun Belt. OP might not have realized that.
