I've been to so many sporting events in my life that it's too many to list. I've never had as much fun as I had at the N.O. bowl the first year that ULL went. I've never been that excited about a victory in my life. And.......that includes a Saints superbowl.

Idk, that's what is confusing to me. I tend to stay out of the big bro/lil bro pissing match. But to hear ULL fans talk about possible Big12 invites and whatnot, makes me believe that ULL is delunsional to the fact they are just a regional school and nothing more

Nick Mullens is a deadly passer who torched LA Tech in the final game of the season, and Ito Smith can create big plays as a running back. I worry about our secondary though. We've allowed long passing plays all season. Overall, we've had our ups and downs this season, but I feel confident in our chances against UL.

Under your scenario, had we gone undefeated this season, wins against Boise and Georgia would have been part of that. Maybe a New Year's Bowl?? Not sure.
We're supposed to play at Alabama in few years. Let's say we go undefeated that season and 'Bama still win the SEC. That sort of changes things in our favor, no?
But I'm not delusional to even be worrying about that. If that sort of season would happen, it would be a great test case for the BCS Playoff selection and would be a hell of a ride as a fan.
Our only realistic shot at a National Championship is baseball and softball, though.

But who should go instead? Bowl slots must be filled. The games aren't just going to be called off because there aren't enough "deserving" teams.
