Bucs coach Dirk Koetter believes second-round K Roberto Aguayo's struggles are mental. "I think [the struggles are mental] and I think he believes that," Koetter said. "We've talked to him. He knows what he has to do." The best kicker in the nation throughout his college career, a mental block is the only reason for Aguayo to be struggling as much as he is. The embattled kicker missed three more kicks in practice Tuesday, but Koetter said the team is not yet looking to bring in competition. Source: Rick Stroud on Twitter Aug 23 - 12:36 PM

He's missed 2-3 kicks in preseason as well

It's not like it's a struggling WR adjusting to NFL speed that they can stash by making him inactive every week, do you just stick with him until you can't? I know it won't happen but what if he starts out 0-5? 0-10?

Do what the Raiders did with Sea Bass, keep putting him out there.

Probably just keep marching him out until he gets past the yips.

It is very Bucs like to draft a kicker who suddenly gets the yips. frick.

Was the Janakowski thing hilarious and the Medlock situation hilarious also?

What about the JaMarcus situation?

Just wanting to know why it is hilarious?

The articles on all the Pro Bowlers the Bucs passed on to sign a kicker will be fun to read

The bucs spent a 2nd round pick on a kicker who so far in the preseason looks like a dud. While undrafted kickers are making kicks... you are dense

You fire the coach and the front office for being idiots and drafting a kicker in the second round.

I saw on twitter one of the Bucs reporters say when he was kicking today he kicked one into the back of the center...

Wow.. Can't even kick in practice..

the issue is that drafting a kicker so high is a clear sign of arrogance by that front office

the thing with seabass is that he was also obviously a luxury pick, BUT (1) people laughed and (2) they didn't laugh as hard b/c the Raiders were a goddamn shite show and that kind of crazy shite is expected of them

No you are dense because the same thing happened to possibly this generations best kicker. Except that team took a 1st rounder and the 5th round was spent on a punter in same draft.

It actually was a smart move to take both of them.

He didn't become an elite K until like eight years into his career. Once again, he's a K. You can't justify it.

Well it was expected of Al. He always believed in the importance of the kicking game.

From punters Ray Guy (pick 23) to Shane Lechler

To Chris Bahr to Sea Bass (pick 17)

And Sea Bass and Shane will also be HOFers with Ray Guy.

He needs to party like Seabass and start hitting the GHB with reckless abandon. That's the the FSU kicker yips cure-all.
