What CFB game from the late 80's early 90's would you want to see again?

Im thinking of showing one of my classes a game since state testing is over which one would you suggest?

My initial idea was the Holiday Bowl with Sanders going off.

Why is this your time period? Just curious. I mean games from the early 2000s are probably ones your classes have never seen. Hell USC/Texas was 11 years ago

That was shown around Christmas time. I like to show them stuff from different eras, when we get free days.

No malice intended. Honestly the first game that popped into my head.

Allow me to submit Nebraska/Mizzou 1997

Ok you could do Miami/Nebraska 84 (little out your period) or Catholics vs convicts in 88. Miami was the evil empire back then so those are good ones

1990
Colorado vs Mizzou-5 down game

1991
FSU vs UF

1994
Colorado vs Michigan-Hail Mary

1991
FSU vs Miami

1984
BC vs Maryland-Flutie Hail Mary

One not so famous game that I loved was the 1990 UVA vs GT game where GT went to #1 UVA and upset them 41-38.

1984 Orange Bowl: Nebraska v. Miami. Arguably the greatest game ever played until the USC-Texas Rose Bowl. The 2-point conversion game.

You know that play never happened officially correct? Alabama was offsides.

I will probably show them the last week of school the FSU ND game from '93. I have never seen the full game either, as we were playing vs SIU during that game.

Except for the fact that if Teague doesn't make the play, it would have been declined and Miami would have had a huge gain/possible score.

Montana beats Houston in Cotton Bowl. 35-34

last second heroics.

heart breaking or glorious.

quote:

With Notre Dame trailing Houston 34-12 at the midpoint of the fourth quarter, Montana pulled off one of his most amazing comebacks ever. In roughly seven and a half minutes, Notre Dame erased the deficit and won the game, 35-34, thanks to a Montana touchdown pass with two seconds left on the clock.

I was totally bummed out. Stunning loss.

Since many consider Montana the greatest NFL QB of all time, the kids should see why. they were not born when he won 4 super bowls.
