I don't see the problem. The CBI is a joke and Indiana is too proud of a program to play in it.

Indiana hasn't done much to be proud of in twenty years and they sure have stooped to some pretty sorry levels these days with regards to how they handle themselves. Might as well play in the tourney.

Absolutely. A simple, "We appreciate the invite, but we'll have to respectfully decline.", would've sufficed.
But when you're handing out Sweet 16 rings, rushing the court, and neglecting to even spend money on your facilities to keep it from falling apart then you're going to come off like some asshats when you put it as they did.

Sweet 16 rings to me were more symbolic of the accomplishments of some of the guys who went through the dry years.
As for Wade? Hard to trash Crean and pretend Wade is a model guy.
