Should we start devoting some space to the losing streak, in hopes that they can break it? If you want it I will start giving them "semi-daily" coverage.
We were SO damn close this weekend....up 10 with less than 10 minutes to play. Rebowe will get us back to being at least a competitive squad in the next few years. I think Stubbs was a terrible hire from the get-go and his recruiting was worse than his coaching. We'll definitely need some time. But, a win could come this weekend. :fingerscrossed:

The "Streak" Ender (hopefully)
2-4 Houston Baptist @ 0-23 Nicholls State in Thibodaux, second meeting overall (HBU leads 1-0)
Houston Baptist is leaving Texas for the only time this year.
Lost to UCA last week.
Rebowe was excited to hear that parking issues for the 6100 at homecoming.
• HBU is led on offense by QB Max Staver
and RB Terrance Peters. Staver, a transfer
from the University of Florida, is averaging
179.5 yards passing to go along with 4 TDs
on the year. Peters is averaging 6.3 yards
per carry and has totaled 351 yards on the
ground.
• HBU ranks second in the Southland in total
defense, allowing 361.3 yards per game. The
Huskies limited Bethany College to just 220
yards in the season opener.
Although Nicholls defense has allowed
opposing offenses to get yards, the
Colonels rank second in the Southland in
red zone defense, allowing scores just 62.5
percent of the time. Out of 32 chances,
Nicholls’ defense has not allowed points 12
times.
The Colonels played a total of 19 freshmen
through their fi rst fi ve contests. Making
starts as rookies have been WRs Jarrell
Rogers and Damion Jeanpiere, OLs
Chandler Arceneaux, Ryan Hanley and
Kevin Pierce, DEs Tank Johnson, Devin
Simoneaux and Kenny Dotson, DBs Tyler
Green, Corey Abraham and Ahmani Martin
and long-snapper Wesley Barnett.

Houston Baptist has been blown out by every FCS team they've played this year, so it could definitely be the streak breaker for Nicholls.

Stop bringing facts into this, you know to break a streak you have to believe in the unreal and fantasy.
Hell we may petition Nicholls to FCS version of Hoggin' (Schedule a SWAC team)

Why exactly does the SWAC not participate in the FCS Playoffs?
They wouldn't have a prayer in any sort of playoff platform. Remember back in the early 2000s when Grambling was sporting some of their best teams in history and McNeese had a home and home with them? They had Bruce Eugene breaking records all over the place and McNeese absolutely demolished them both times. Sure, that was years ago, but the SWAC probably regressed so far, that they'd be competitive in Div III.
The only HBCs you see half arse competitive are the guys in the MEAC. Even those guys have serious issues in the playoffs.

Yeah I remember those mcneese vs grambling games
The year McNeese went to grambling, there fans were bragging it's the best grambling team in their history and it was gonna be a long ride home for the Cowboys
Vic King had about 250 yards rushing and they whipped gramblings arse

Sucks McNeese is on at the same time as LSU. If I was at home I'd get some dual TV action. But I'm with some Tiger fans who don't care about McNeese.
