Apparently Northwetern can not make up their mind and still are listing 4 QB's as the starter vs UCA this weekend.

UCA best WR out for the game with broken foot also.

Just realized NAU coach Jerome Souers will tie Chris Ault for all-time conference victories (68) with his next Sky win.

really curious how the Southland plays out and what kind of team McNeese has

I think SLU is slightly down but Sam looks tough. Lamar is very underrated, as shown last week.

Lamar hung 31 on Baylor...their D doesn't need to be lights out when they can trade touchdowns with anyone.

McNeese has been ok so far.

Still an issue at QB, I think. The defense is fast. They've started both games with problems, but made good adjustments at halftime.

Tell you one thing, I think once Daniel Sams is gone, McNeese's QB position will be in much better shape. We got a glimpse of Grant Ashcraft this past weekend (6'6", 220) and he made some beautiful throws that Sams only wished he could make. I'm very curious to see him in more action.

Honestly, from the way teams are playing right now, I think it's a 3 horse race between Sam Houston St, McNeese St and Lamar. Southeastern's offense just isn't up to par. I know their defense has been pretty good and they will keep them in games. But I don't think they have enough, offensively at the moment, to compete for the league title.

Penn beat Nova last night so there will be some movement. Nova was without starting QB and last years Payton Award winner Robertson.

First time Penn has beaten Villanova in 104 years.

It would be nice if La Salle and Saint Joseph's had football teams. I really enjoy Big 5 hoops.

Some predictions out of Philly for the weekend...

X-Stephen F. Austin (0-3, 0-1 Southland) at Abilene Christian
X-No. 1 Jacksonville State (2-1, 1-0 OVC) at UT Martin (1-1, 0-0), I think it will be a lot closer than others think, UTM has had 2 weeks to get ready for this game and it's at Martin.
X-No. 20 Cal Poly (1-2, 0-0 Big Sky) at No. 15 Montana State (1-1, 0-0) Only game of top 25's. I think this will get Poly out of playoff picture.
Northern Arizona (2-1, 0-0 Big Sky) at X-No. 14 Montana I think NAU wins it and Montana is done for playoffs.
Robert Morris (1-2) at X-No. 6 South Dakota State (2-0)
Mississippi College (2-1) at X-No. 25 McNeese State (2-0)
X-Central Arkansas (0-2, 0-0 Southland) at Northwestern State (0-3, 0-1),
X-No. 9 James Madison (3-0) at SMU (1-2) Would not be surprised to see JMU beat the Ponies, the ponies are horrific on Defense, be ready for a 4.5 hour game though.
No. 10 Liberty (2-1) at X-Southern Illinois (0-2)I agree with this pick as SIU had IU beat and its the home opener for them.
Houston Baptist (1-2, 0-1 Southland) at X-No. 12 Sam Houston State (0-2, 0-1)
