Week 27 - Golf Thread - Recovering for the 4th Edition -

Played my worst round in 11 years this past weekend. My tee box play failed me and it cost me dearly, specifically on the back 9.
I will practice putting and chipping, then look for a game Friday. Surprisingly, the irons I have been thinking about replacing gamed fairly well... With my crappy drives I was able to get some much needed recovery distance.
It may be time to move my old arse from the tips up to the hacker tees. Depressing. I can't putt with the old men and I can't keep up with the young bombers - I am in golf purgatory.

After struggling all year and only breaking 90 once so far I had back to back rounds in the 80s. 87 at greystone and an 86 at beaver creek. Both are in great shape right now. GoLo has been money so far but it could be the equipment high.

TPC has a deal today thru 7/2. $59 gets round, range and a dozen crappy Nike Crush balls. And a replay voucher for a $40 round to use by 8/31. Course should be close to very good. I got chased off by a storm last week.

I had one of my best rounds since last year, two weekends ago. Played TimberCreek in Malbis, shot an 82.

I didn't have any triples in my round at greystone. I was pretty happy with that

You could move up way further than that an I would still beat you like a rented mule.

I'm hoping to play this weekend. Looks like the weather will be good but I have to get my yard looking right first. The damn grass is about up to my knees.
Played Saturday for the first time in about a month at Kickingbird in Edmond and shot 90. I was happy with it since I haven't been playing much and it was an unfamiliar course. Didn't hit one fairway but hit some good iron and wedge shots and couldn't putt for shite.
