I am not saying the east was better by any stretch, but is it possible the west wasn't as good as people cracked it up to be?

Well it wasn't all it was cracked up to be. And numbers agree. But it was definitely better.

no

The Warriors are just playing like shite. If they start playing like they played for a majority of the season/playoffs, I wouldn't be surprised to see them win the next 3.

Not the west's fault GSW(mostly curry/bogut and maybe draymond) has forgot to play basketball.

Pretty obv that it wasn't as good as advertised heading into the postseason due to injuries. OKC didn't even make the playoffs due to injuries I don't see how people were saying it was an all time great conference.

Yes but the Warriors avoided the two toughest teams, the Spurs and Clippers. Those two plus the Cavs and Warriors were the only real title contenders this year.

I think the West was pretty loaded... Cavs are just better than the best the West has to offer.

No. The Majority of the east was just that bad.

West has always been more of a "showtime" conference... for over 30 years now

East has always been more blue collar, tougher style of play

Its pretty incredible how these trends have continued for so long

The "ugly" basketball of the East is dictating the game.

GS being down 2-1 has nothing to do with the West being a bit overrated this year

The "toughest team" doesn't lose 3 straight after being up 3-1 and up 19 late 3rd quarter at home. CLIPS were exposed. SAS just wasn't playing that well. At their best, yes they were a contender but they weren't even close to the team they were in the Finals last year. They could never match that level of play.

Cavs were a really good team after the trades, and now the injuries have turned them into a defensive juggernaut. This Cavs team is just much better than people think.

Edit: This Cavs defense is better than anything the GSW have seen. Memphis is close, but they don't have LeBron on offense (And the Cavs don't have to play Tony Allen on offense). It's just challenging when you don't ever play a team like this.

and forced Cavs to play more iso ball with Lebron - which in turn has slowed the game down even more.
