Oh I am not saying they I am just saying for as terrific as Draymond is defensively he really can't handle Marc or Zbo in the paint.

This is definitely true, but can Randolph guard Draymond on the perimeter? The "bigs" matchup in this series will be interesting.

I don't care about either of these teams but I'm ok with that long gap. Both teams are coming off (albeit short) series where they had to travel across the country and then have to turn around and do it again this series. That's a lot of travel.

ZBo vs Draymond Green... +/- 5 techs given between the 2?
I'll take the under, but I honestly think ZBo will get 2 techs in this series and I wouldn't be surprised if they came before Game 3. Dude was getting pissed in the Blazers series, and it's only going to get worse when he can't hear shite in Oracle and they're getting sauced all over by Curry and Thompson.

@Peter_Fleischer: Mike Conley WILL travel to Golden State with the Grizz. Joerger said he's not anticipating him playing, didn't rule it out. @FOX13Memphis

@Peter_Fleischer: Courtney Lee went as far to say that he expects Mike Conley to play Game 1. Said he's not a doctor or trainer but he knows Mike's toughness.

Anyone know where I can bet on the outcome of the series straight up?

Like say I thought the Warriors were winning, you know just hypothetically

Pumped for this series. Let's gooooo Grizz

But obviously Conleys health is the key IMO. Mainly for defensive purposes. With Conley, you would have him on Curry and Tony Allen on Klay Thompson. Without him, what do you do? But Allen on Curry and Green on Thompson? Calathes on Curry and Allen on Thompson? Courtney Lee on Curry and Allen on Thompson?

Tough to figure that out. Just hope Conley will be able to play by game 2.

But I absolutely love the matchups here...

Conley(?) vs Curry
Allen vs Thompson
Green vs Barnes
ZBo vs Draymond
Gasol vs Bogut

Even if the Grizz have Conley and can slow down Curry and Thompson a good bit, how are the Grizz gonna score enough to win? The Warriors D is even BETTER than the Grizz D. The Grizz are gonna need to hit a lot of 3s to keep them in it and they aren't a good 3 point shooting team. I don't think this series will be close, gotta agree with Lowe. No conley, sweep Conley plays, 5 games.

Because the Grizz are gonna do what they do... Slow the pace down and play their bully ball in the paint and grind.

And yea the Warriors D is better than the Grizz D... According to the metrics. But looking at the individual players on each team, the Grizz have better defensive players than the Warriors do. And Memphis gives up 95.1ppg, Golden St gives up 99.9ppg.

The ZBo vs Draymond Green matchup is going to be HUGE.

I think they spent over 30 minutes discussing this on the radio the other day.

I am conflicted tbh. I think the best matchup is putting TA on Step and tell him to pick him up full court then throw Calathes on Klay. Allow CLee to use his energy more on the offensive end where he will be really needed if he is on the floor with those 2.

When Jeff Green is in I wouldn't mind seeing him on Steph.

I worry about TA on Klay. TA is all see ball, get ball. Klay scored 37 in a half on the Grizz earlier this year and I think he dribbled less than 10 times, that is what gives TA problems. He ball watches too much.

I am happy to finally see a national writer (Matt Moore) mention how they need to use the Lee-TA-Green/Vince-Zbo-Gasol lineup some if Mike is out. I've been pounding my fist on that since I saw it in Game 5. It provides the spacing that you don't get with Calathes and TA on the floor together without sacrificing the defense you lose by putting Beno on the court. The big worry is whoever handles the ball with that group can't get the Grizz in to a track meet because they'll get torched that way.

It is so weird. Despite all of the metrics proving otherwise I think if you would ask most people if this Warriors team is better than OKC last year, I think a lot of people would be split on that. This same Grizzlies teams should have knocked them out last year, but a ton of people are giving the Grizz zero chance in this series even with Conley.

How many games is Conley going to miss?

I imagine it will be extremely hard for Memphis to win this series if he misses both of the first two games, or if he plays but isn't himself.

Memphis has to take one of the first two games in Oakland, IMO.

No idea. If they are able to fit a mask on him then he is going to play. Dude is a warrior. They'd have to chain him down to keep him from playing.
