lol

It is universal that the Pelicans buttraped the Kings. The Kings are getting absolutely destroyed.

Their fans on Reddit are hilarious.

Just when you thought the Kings couldn't look worse...they look much worse.

At least he knows he can't come out and say we didn't want to take on any good players, since we have to finish with one of the 10 worse records in the league.

Double o, are you into soccer?

1. Pels get powerful big man with a great offensive game. Lets AD avoid constant pounding. Double teams just vanished.

2. Kings get great shooter who now strains under pressure.
Kings get unknown person in 8 to 15 range, first round.

Pels may make playoffs. Pick for sacto wont be great. Pels will be like memphis. Big and strong inside.

This deal may be good for sacto. Buddy can turn out to be olympian to do the carmelo role, he shoots so well. First round pick may be scottie pippen or jack sikma. Hall of famers taken mid first round. Or dude ends up playing in france in a minor league in 4 years.

Why did he say talk to the agents? Did Boogie's agent play some sort of Jedi mind trick on vlade and nix the better offer?

I think this move is about starting over. With cousins, you had to offer him full money, and I don't think they wanted to.

100% agree.

Issue is, they had better offers from Dallas (more picks too) and LA Lakers.

some heavy poster on reddit mentioned it. I think it was unprotected the whole way and not multiple. I've seen a few mention lakers offered dlo/randle/1st, but sacramento wanted ingram to be included in some way shape or form and they said he's untouchable.

explain the Dallas offer and why it was better.

they did not dangle Buddy

Here's the truth about me. I would have picked Buddy first overall until the NCAA tournament. then, not at all.

He had one nice month but not a great season. He's young.
good luck Kings.

Chris Mullin had a so so rookie season and was a star soon after.
Similar players. Mullin took the ball into trouble every game for two years.
Finally stopped that.

Everything I've read from the regular Dallas reporters has said that Sacto told the Mavs they weren't going to trade Boogie.

Mullin had a drinking problem and wasnt in shape early in his career. When he dealt with his drinking and got in shape he became a star.

Buddy is a much better athlete than Mullin but in no way is he the same type of play maker as Mullin. Mullin avgd 4 Assists/game in 7 of his 13 seasons.

He's young.

Buddy is 23 which is the same age as Andrew Toney when he entered the League. I think Buddy compares more to Toney in style of play than Chris Mullin

yeah and that was true until NOLA kept applying pressure and the idiot owner of the Kings stepped and told Vlade to make the deal because he loves Buddy.

Boogie's agent probably scared a team or two off saying he won't resign and be a problem.

no doubt, Boogie said publicly that he wanted to re-sign with Sactown but privately his agent was no doubt operating on an escape plan. Unfortunately for Kings fans, Vivek is an idiot and he forced his GM to make a stupid trade.

Vivek is a smart dude but a dumb owner

what is crazy is Vivek isnt even the majority owner, he is co-owner with Ron Burkle and Mark Mastrov but Vivek is the managing partner

Woj said his agent specifically told other teams Boogie could sign with the Lakers and that likely scared alot of them away

quote:

“Jarinn Akana and Dan Fegan, who represent Cousins, they did their job here, which was to — and this also complicated what they could get in a trade — Jarinn came out publicly last night and privately they told teams, ‘If you trade for Cousins, we’re telling you, he may not stay. He may nor re-sign with you. The Lakers are going to have a lot of cap space again potentially in a couple years. He could go to L.A. as a free agent. He might not stay in New Orleans or he might not stay in Phoenix or anywhere else...’
