low cost QB for the Vikings for two seasons.

Ah no. Low cost the 1st year. Low risk perhaps.

7 million in 2016. Then in March, 4 million dollar roster bonus + 13 million dollar base salary. Now they could cut him but still 1st and 4th for 1 year rental?

The problem for Minnesota is the inevitable decline of Peterson. He may only have one or two years left.

I have no doubt that they needed to make a move for a QB....but Bradford for a 1st and maybe a 4th?

Why not Josh McCown or make a play for Fitz who would have probably come cheaper and has actually played pretty well at times?

Hell Sanchez might get cut in Denver and he has managed to play in 2 Conference Championship games...

That is a trade rape no matter how anyone tries to look at it.

What steal for the Eagles.

Saints should have gotten in on this action...a couple of 1s and 4s.

Chase Daniel and Carson Wentz are 1 and 2 for Philly. Woof.

Philly is going to look like geniuses when they run up to the podium with 2 top 10 picks.

Cleveland wanted a second rounder for McCown. Still a lot to give up.

Sanchez is trash.

Cleveland has their 1st, they traded it to get Wentz.

The vikings have a solid team, I highly doubt they end up with a top 10 pick.

When was the last time Sam Bradford had a winning season?

Sam Bradford has started in 63 NFL games and won 25 of those contest.

The Vikings might be thinking that if Bradford stays healthy they can move him next off-season for roughly what they paid for him. It's a risk but they are a team built to compete now.

Who has mentioned Minnesota as a SB contender?

The Vikings have the best defense in the league no one really talks about. They got even better from a talent perspective this offseason to go along with having one of best defensive minds in the game in Mike Zimmer. Peterson is still their running back & they have done a great job of building their receiving corps in the last two drafts. The Vikings are way better than many outsiders seem to understand.

So they are trading for another weak armed QB that will have issues stretching the field with Norv's offense?

Norv refuses to change and it is hilarious.

given their track record of 1st round selections maybe that wouldn't have been such a good thing.

I like this trade for both teams. I don't know if Bradford will walk right in and make the Vikings better but what they gave up isn't a big deal to me.

I mean they have done a good job of drafting the last few years so losing a 1st and 4th next year shouldn't be a big deal. If they were a team that still needed several pieces then.... yeah they'd look like morons.

It's amazing how so few fans realize just how good the Vikings are defensively. Take the time to watch this video & those who don't know, will see just how good they are.

Breakdown of the Vikings defense & how they use safety Harrison Smith

Overpaid both times?

Lucky man. Has barely played for as long as he's been in the league but yet has made more money than the vast majority of NFL players.
