I'm taking Phil to win at +1 total by one stroke

68-72-71-70 = 281

Bad greens are nothing new for the U.S. Open. Remember how many bumps Tigers putt on the 72nd hole at Tory Pines hit before it went in. Just as it did that year, luck will play a big part in the outcome this year.

They probably will roll better than anything anyone here has played, save for anyone that has played LaTour

Does the wind blow up there a lot? There's obviously no trees and its waterfront so they will feel 100% of it.

I hope Phil completes the slam, but if he can't win then I'll take spieth or fowler getting it done. I hope Poulter misses the cut.

I only pull for Americans this week.
I'll pick a Briton, but I won't root for him/them.

Phil needs a U.S. Open so bad it's ridiculous.

I remember the greens at Pebble on TV in 2010, and how much worse they looked than they do in the pro am and when I played there. I guess they know what they want.

The greens aren't up to usual tour standards, but U.S. open greens never are anyway. Bunch of spoiled pussies

They cut the greens down so low and roll them so much you just as soon putt on dirt.

No idea who will win but gotta pull for Phil to complete the slam.

U clubs were faster a few ago, I had played LaTour the Saturday before I went to U Club. And U Club had some sick pin placements.

This is the time of year where LaTour starts to get fast, if we quit getting 4 inches of rain daily.

Those greens looked spotty like that in Bubba's video of his crazy putt, and it looked like it rolled pretty well.

Chambers Bay would be a good site for the next season of Altered courses. Of course there are no trees but just the elevation changes could make it brutal.
