Come tomorrow, more than 80 of the 100 computers in the Massey Composite, which have no bias towards any team, will have Ohio State in the top 4, but national sports media have successfully convinced at least half the country that Ohio State shouldn't be in.

Team Win % SOS
Alab 1.000 1
Clem 0.923 2
tOSU 0.916 3
Wash 0.923 13
PSU 0.846 8
Mich 0.833 10
WMU 1.000 71

Ohio State has the 4th best record in the country and the third toughest schedule. Nobody on this board can come up with comprehensive data to support the idea that they shouldn't be in the playoff.

The media wants Ohio state in, not sure wtf you're talking about.

Ohio state will be in, as the third seed.

Putting OSU in is effectively rewarding them for losing.

Somebody doesn't know what...

comprehensive data
...means.

The Big Ten championship counts 3/4 of the season and disregards the rest, opening the door for the best team in the Big Ten to not win the conference title. This has happened before and is able to be understood by junior high math students.

Yet they couldn't beat Penn state nor win their conference title.

There are teams who have lost more. Why aren't they in?

The media aren't in the computers. Do you know why the computers have Ohio State at #2?

Or rewarding them for beating the Big 12 champion in Norman. Scheduling and winning that game was a big gamble and gives them an edge.

Dumbfrick, don't use words like "media machine" if you don't know how to use them. If the media wants a team to be in the playoffs, it's bama and Ohio state

I've never wavered from using them as a solid framework with which to work.

Not the best team in their own division.

I don't need statistics. It's common sense.

What media machine wants OSU out? Seems to be the complete opposite.

The people who are arguing that OSU shouldn't be in are people who seem never to cite any comprehensive data and watch a lot of ESPN, so I stand by what I said.

You don't understand, it LITERALLY makes their loss to Penn State a better outcome than them winning. You put OSU in and losing to Penn State becomes the best thing that happened to them all year.

Think about the message that sends.
