What media machine wants OSU out? Seems to be the complete opposite.

The media would love OSU in because of tv ratings. The media would love half of us to think that that's bullshite because of tv ratings.

Controversy. They cooked it up nicely. Just look at this board.

You don't understand, it LITERALLY makes their loss to Penn State a better outcome than them winning. You put OSU in and losing to Penn State becomes the best thing that happened to them all year.
A lot of teams lost to Penn State. Why aren't they in?

No. This isn't about "messages." If you have comprehensive data to show us that Ohio State isn't one of the top four, I'd love to see it. If all you have is "messages," then you have nothing.

Again who is pushing for this narrative? All I've seen on Sportscenter tonight is how Ohio State is in.

eta: ESPN is pushing for Washington to be out more than anything

The countless point/counterpoint shows and any show that depends on controversy to get ratings. Just because it isn't coming out of a SportsCenter anchor's mouth right now doesn't mean that it isn't out there.

Stop playing dumb

If you put OSU in and leave PSU out, you are saying that it was better for OSU to lose to PSU than to beat them. Beating Penn State would have made their oath to the playoff harder.

No comprehensive data here. You have nothing.

Beat Penn State, OSU has to win an extra game against a very good team that almost beat them earlier in the year.

Lose to Penn State, you still get in but have to play one less game and get extra rest.

Objectively, putting them in says losing a game was better than winning it.

You've cited two games. That isn't

comprehensive data
Unless you can stack one team's complete schedule up against the other's, you haven't sat down at the table, much less brought anything to it.

you want comprehensive data:

Penn State: Big 10 Conference Champs

Ohio State: lol

....except when tOSU actually played, they lost.....

There is no better indicator of who is better than actually competing against one another....

Yup. He won't agree with you because he has zero common sense, but you're absolutely right.

Nobody on this board can come up with comprehensive data to support the idea that they shouldn't be in the playoff.
They didn´t win their conference, let alone their division.

You're hiding behind numbers because, deep down, you know how absurd it is to effectively argue losing to Penn State was better for Ohio State than beating them.

It's a fact that cannot be refuted if you place OSU in the playoff.

Those are tiebreakers.

There's no tie.
