It was uncomfortably hot in DC today and I was outside for all of 5-10 minutes. It wasn't quite as hot in NYC as it was in DC, but it was close. And so I'm not surprised to see retirements. Playing tennis today would have been difficult. I had sweat dripping off my face, again, after less than 10 minutes outside and no more than a two block walk. It was that hot.
Also, Jack Sock sweats literally more than anyone I've ever seen before in my life. I mean, Rafa sweats like crazy and it's maybe half as bad as Sock. I'm definiely not surprised to see him have cramping issues. I feel bad for the guy, to be clear, but just can't say it's totally unexpected given his propensity for leaking fluids coupled with today's conditions.

agreed. don't know if you were listening to the espn broadcast, but they were absolutely lighting into her. it was pretty unwarranted. and it was when the match was at like 4-2 in her favor first set.
speaking of sweating, carolina is absolutely sweating her arse off. i don't know how she's wearing that dress.

But I do agree that she's a good human being. I'd like to see her win a major, but I doubt it's ever gonna happen.
