My school didn't use any college or NFL logo but we played some schools that did. One used the Chiefs logo with their initials instead of KC, one used Clemsons logo but blue, and the other used the Eagles helmet with different colors

I never understood high schools copying college logos. I mean why wouldn't you want to have your unique logo? You can't tell me that a high school artists or artist in the community cannot come up with a more unique logo for your school?
Makes zero sense to completely copy when it wouldn't be that hard to find someone who can do that and create a special logo and helmet design for your school.

this happens every year with a different school and people get all outraged. But its not really their choice whether to come after these schools. Trademark laws kind of make it necessary

Kids want to wear what they see on TV.
My high school is the Eagles, and they wear chrome Oregon Duck wing helmets.
Maybe I need to call up Oregon to let them know they need to stop this.

Penn state made Prattville Christian Academy change their logo a few years ago.

For one, how many different ways can you make a wildcat, bulldog, eagle, tiger, longhorn? Second, its probably easier when buying apparel for the clothing company to use a similar logo over and over without having to pay for extra detailing on a unique logo.

Mesquite Horn rips off their logo too I think. I'm guessing the Texas high schools have something figured out with them already

No reason to hate Texas for this, IMO.
I just wish more HS would design their own logos instead of copying college/NFL programs, but like tigger said, it's probably just easier to go with a pre-designed set.
