Is the ACC looking at possibly only getting 6 teams into the NCAAs? I know Miami is on the bubble, what's it look like for GaTech?

Any chance Rodon throws against UNC?

ACC is going to get 8
UNC, UVA, FSU natty seeds
NCST, Clemson (maybe) hosting
Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech and then one of Maryland or Miami will travel.

There is no way Maryland will make it without having made the conference tournament. Unless that justification is only used to screw SEC teams and not ACC teams. I guess it depends on who's running the selection committee.
Also, I think Miami has to win at least two to even have a chance to make it.

Probably. All 8 teams in the tourney are ranked in the top 20 in RPI

Not sure what Avent's plan would be. Seems like a good idea to throw Ogburn against Clemson, Whoever against Miami, and Rodon against UNC to give us the best chance at 3-0 in the pool. Then get owned by FSU or UVA in the championship. Outside of Rodon we dont have a pitcher that can beat UVA/FSU/UNC. Unless our bats get crazy hot.

You'd be surprised what the committee can do. Maryland finished the season strong, have an RPI in the 20's and the committee is littered with ACC higher ups.

Who is on it this year?

G Tech should be in..Miami has 3 good chances to get a win that should put them in too..probably looking at 3 national seeds, 5 hosts and 8 teams in.

just want VT to win a game in the tournament
Pete Hughes has done a great job at VT bringing in talent that can compete...

GT will most likely win the acc tourney and then flame out in regionals, again.

Pulling hard for NC State that first game.

I think Miami gets in, even though they prob shouldn't, I think Maryland needs to win alot in the tourney

Maryland can pack up the bats right now. They should have beat LSU that Friday night that they lost one nothing and won two more conference games...

FSU is playing some great ball. This is the best team I've seen in some years - which is extremely surprising given the expectations coming into this year.
Should be a good tourney
