Too much money on the table for him to walk away.

He can retire after fight 49 or after fight 149, I'm never spending another penny on that clown again.

BTW, you missed the point of what I was trying to say there. But, that's not surprising.

he is the very definition of a boxer. Tap n' go, touch n' run, etc. that's how all of the best boxers have been for a while now. Klitschko brothers, Mayweather, etc

Boxing = boring decisions. Even their stoppages are boring.

The free UFC card tonight on Fox will have better fights & finishes than all of the main boxing PPV's for the summer combined.

UFC didn't have a million events and a million fighters, I'd follow it

The most likely scenario agreed upon by a lot of boxing insiders is that he'll take some time off after his Showtime deal is over, then fight Pacquiao again to go for 50-0.

Why not?

And what qualifies one to be a boxer?

He won't have that much mileage on him. He's basically the first Don Flamenco.

How many times have the main card matchups changed due to "injuries"?

UFC is some watered down garbage. It's bad when you supposedly market the best "fighters" in the world and your #1 draw is a woman.

Why not retire after solidifying himself as the GOAT.

Why?

In the ring, he is a great example of the Sweet Science and epitomizes the "best pound for pound" comparison.

He might be a complete little shite out of the ring but inside the ring he is an artist!

I don't see how a boxing fan cannot appreciate is skill level.

I think it's because his style is so boring. It hard to appreciate his style when his fights barely maintain your interest. Not to compare their credentials but when Tyson fought you were glued to the tv because you didn't know what would happen. You couldn't risk looking away and missing something interesting. With Floyd I end up on my phone, glancing at the tv every once in a while.

Actually thats what is sad with Boxing today. Many fans are spoiled by brawlers and/or punchers and have lost the appreciation for great boxing skills.

With Mayweather, you are watching a boxer with the skill level to matchup with all-time greats...skill wise, whereas Tyson was a one trick pony who knocked out a bunch of mediocre heavyweights.

Boxing needs to ban Mayweather and latch onto a wholesome, Christian, family-friendly boxer, regardless of how good he is
