The guy operates with 20% of the resources and at ULL.
If you consider what happened to storied women's hoops programs (Tech, Old Dom) once the well funded schools got interested, he is the best coach in the country.

Yeah I don't really care for softball but the guy has gone to what, 5 super regionals in the last 7 years? Going up against schools with significantly more money, he's one of if not the best softball coach in the country. Don't think he has many years left though, so hopefully the softball fans appreciate him.

I just don't like when people say, "you owe it to the senior who has carried you this far". that's bullshite. the only thing that you owe the senior is the fricking scholly that you offered to him/her. that's it.

Actually ULL's softball is the best program they have.
They are right there with LSU softball wise and have been for years. DOn't tell me ULL's football is the best program.
You can say that when they = LSU football wise.

It's a fine sport. I just really dislike a lot of the rules but I can appreciate how good those girls are. I'll watch games when they get to the postseason and root for them, but I just can't really get into it all year.

fair enough. It's grueling. My pitchers have to practice year round whether assistance work or actual pitching or both. They work very hard. Coach Lotief has been great to us at all the camps we have attended. He's a great guy. Coach Lisa as well.

Rules are rules, but a dumb one at that. It should be a time limit. The throws to third were after her allotted pitches were up and during a 3 minute commercial break. The umps didn't catch it until the auburn coach alerted them. He waited until 2 throws were made to third to tell them.
Fwiw, supposedly Hamilton has a torn rotator cuff which is why she hasn't pitched as much this year.

yes. he's been fighting throat cancer/disease for a few years. that's a medi-port.

Wow. Terrible ending to this season. Too many walks and illegal pitches this super regional. No excuse losing when you score 11 runs. Our top two pitchers have not gotten it done.
Hopefully LSU can beat zona and get to OKC.

Not much talk of why Lotief left Wallace in when she was clearly stuggling. Results may have been different if he wouldnt have rode her for so long.
