First coach I remember as a kid. My uncle would take me to his Monday after the game appearance at the chamber of commerce if I remember.
BTW those uniforms were much better than the ones today.

Man, the fans at Ragin Pagin want Hud gone over this. I wonder if this is really the last season for him. Personally I think he's taken the program as far as he can, time for someone else come in with a different mindset and take this team further than a bunch of NO Bowls

The admin doesn't want more than the Nola bowl. We had opportunities to go elsewhere against better opponents and they declined in favor of New Orleans.
Hudspeth has embarrassed the program and is a meathead.

Well the boosters called the players "thugs" for a disrespectful video. That was over the top. He stood up for them. And he apologized.

First of all, you think some crusty old 60+ year old millionaire at any university is gonna understand inner city kids saying frick Donald Trump?
Let athletes at LSU, Tulane, Bama or any other university leak a video like that and watch the fallout. The have Coach O or Saban condemn the boosters. Calling them hypocrites. They would never be so foolish.
Hudspeth is a moron who can't coach, tarnished all the good will he EARNED. The dude could have had anything he wanted. But instead he bit the hand that feeds him.

Neither side was right on this one.
People need to get over themselves. This is yet another example of the toxic political environment that currently exists. Hud should have used the incident as a teachable moment for both his players and the fans. You talk to the team about representing a university and its supporters, the great diversity of political viewpoints held, and the public relations nightmare created when you're not mindful of who's listening.
You may not want to hear it, but you also talk to the fans about their life experience and how they've matured and grown in their political views over time, and not placing judgement upon 18-22 year old college students for their immature actions. You remind your supporters that they support the team and the university, not because of a shared spot on the political spectrum, but that you want to win football games and graduate educated men who can contribute to society.

Hud is not intellectually capable of using the incident as a teachable moment. He was out of his depth and just isn't self aware enough to realize it.
2 big red flags with Hud: no real outside interest for a move up. He should have been gone after his second season. The "I saw it coming" press conference after getting throttled by Akron the week after moving into the new athletic center. It might have been the single stupidest excuse for a loss I've ever seen.
