ULL Fans- Whats the vibe on Hud?

He was the darling coach 5 years ago and makes 1 million per year and you now have your expanded 40k stadium.
What are the fans saying about Hud?
He should be 0-2, but you still gave up 50 to a FCS school and 66 to Tulsa.
He only needs 4 more wins to get back to the NOLA Bowl, but will that be enough to save his job?

His recruiting has gotten worse every year. His offensive coordinator hire seems like a good one, but the defense I watched the first two weeks is the worst I've ever seen. We have a new AD so you have to think he's starting to feel heat.

The Hud era has gotten stale. The play on the field has been awful, his team has repeatedly been an embarrassment to the university off the field.
He's going to get a couple more years because we're not gonna pay his big buyout. But the current AD didn't hire him so he may not be renewed when the time comes.

Theres nothing new as of late. There was the ACT scandal that we had to self impose sanctions for, the Trump video, 13 players getting arrested. Just shite that reflects back poorly on Hud and when the team is playing as badly as they have in recent seasons, the good will towards Hud starts to erode.

He's too much of a "rah-rah" guy which was needed to elevate the program from the Bustle era.
Now, the program needs better recruiting and better defensive coaches. Probably more of an X's and O's guy vs just an "energy / motivator" type of personality.
I think he's gone after next year.

Coach O would have been a perfect hire for a program like UL. Solid recruiter, has coaching connections across the country, local guy, probably sticks around for a while. Ol Joe went and screwed that one up.
