Not even joking. Gamblers move your money now.

Figured I may as well be the one to break the news here.

Sucks... but TCU's 3rd string...without Doctson... almost knocked off Oklahoma about a month ago.

it's a shame, but when you are a public figure like that you really do need to have thick skin.. it's hard to have that kind of perspective/maturity at that age though. i understand the difficulty and the want to defend yourself.

but my gosh

Officers threatened to use a stun gun on Boykin in order to calm him down. He was then arrested.

just how riled up was he.. or just angry drunk..

this article says he swung and missed.. hit wrong people.. etc.

Police said Boykin was being held back by his friends, who told officers they would take Boykin back to their hotel.

Police said Boykin then began trying to punch officers that arrived to assist. Several officers took Boykin to the ground where the fight continued until they threatened to use a stun gun on him.
Boykin was then arrested and charged with assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest and public intoxication.

Sounds like they were going to let him go back to the hotel before he started attacking the cops.

That detail is very familiar. One of my roommates while I was at TCU was a baseball player who "accidentally" hit a cop while he was home in Arizona for the summer. Got in a scuffle...walking out of a bar...saying "Get off me, man" to all his friends trying to direct where he was walking...didn't realize that the 4th or 5th guy to put hands on him from behind was a police officer. More of a "shove-punch" than anything...had no idea it was PD and not one of his friends. OOOooooops.

Any reasonable person would assume he undoubtedly would be, but I'm not sure how tightly run TCU's program is. If he played for ohio state it wouldn't shock me in the slightest to see him play.

There's absolutely no chance he'd play if he were at Ohio State

He's been arrested... but still hasn't been charged.

I'd be shocked if his friends don't have video. I could see the cops bicycling up into an almost diffused situation and making it worse to the point they had to cuff him, though (been on the riverwalk many times drinkin' and the bike cops are mostly there to flirt and wear Napoleon syndrome on their sleeves).
