Well, win or lose they didn't quit. Shooting 40% won't happen every night.

Long year for UK? Ha!! This team isn't anything like that NIT team. I'll be surprised if this U.K. team is not in the Regional Finals.

Yeah, they'll be alright. Have to find the balance between their speed and defense. A loss early to a good team isn't a bad thing for this squad.

No because losses to uga and Kansas are looming obviously

And on a more serious note, yes. Isn't one home loss already a bad year for Kentucky at rupp?

Nah. That 42 game streak was bound to be broken.

I'd rather it come to a program the quality of UCLA who is on the upswing. No shame in that unless you're functionally retarded and think basketball ends in December.

I don't think anyone thinks it's a bad loss or there is any shame in it. But a home loss means it's a bad year at home when you are Kentucky or Kansas. It's a compliment, really, but it's true.

This class with Ball, Fultz, Smith, and Fox may be the best PG class in a long time. And we have had a bit of a point guard drought for a while into the NBA after the mid 00s and early 10s when a world class player entered the league every year.

Look at it this way.

2005: Deron Williams and Chris Paul
2006: Rondo and Lowrey (admittedly these guys took some time)
2007: Mike Conley Jr

Now it really starts getting crazy

2008: D-Rose, Westbrook,
2009: Curry, Harden and then supporting guys like Jrue, Teague, and Rubio
2010: Wall and Bledose, and then Bradley as a supporting guy
2011: Kyrie and Kemba, later on Isiah Thomas
2012: Lillard

Look at the next four drafts. Afterthoughts like Teague, Rubio and Bradley could have been the best players in these drafts.

2013: MCW, Oladipo, Trey Burke, Schroeder, Oladipo
2014: Exum, Elfrid Payton, Marcus Smart
2015: Russell and Mudiay
2016: Too early but Wade Baldwin and Kris Dunn
