I wished they would go back to the old shade of blue, but I understand why they did that. It is a great look though. I somewhat wished Duke would go back to its Navy look in basketball instead of Royal also. But blues, maroons, and purples are the hardest to match year to year.

had our chance and it passed. going to need to wait another 10/15 years for USC to hit a down point which is just frustrating cause injuries derailed it

Nonsense, there's plenty of talent to go around. Mora actually a very good recruiter. He just needs to get himself a good Oline coach. It's unacceptable to be this bad after all the years he's been there.

Thinking like this is why UCLA has never been a power and never will be.

UCLA is in a metro area that has over 13 million people. In a state with 39 million plus. There is not excuse for you not being a power. Quit blaming it on USC.

That is pretty nice. With all the rappers' sons they recruit, they should have some of the most baller facilities in the country

im more blaming it on guerrero. the football program has been neglected in such an astonishing way since the turn of the 21st century. it took a lot of begging and pleading for this facility to get done

They've had their share of pretty good years, but to be fair to the bRuins there does seem to be a correlation between when they are "good" and USC is sub-par. The 1990's are a pretty good example. They were one upset loss at Miami of actually making the BCS Championship game. This article in the OC Register details the reasons for their demise.

I won't lie though, the new facilities won't hurt them, especially with out of state recruits who want to have their college experience in So Cal, and aren't considering (or being considered by) USC.

MELSBYS KNEE WAS DOWN

UCLA and USC had a pretty sustained run of being really good in the 60s and 70s

The right guy could awaken UCLA pretty quickly. (Not that there are too many Nick Sabans walking around out there). Mora's pretty good, but not going to make them elite. I think UCLA and Texas A&M are both a HC away from becoming elite. Lots of talent, money, facilities being untapped at both of those places.

Especially since USC is parked in more or less a shithole and UCLA is in Westwood.
