The other two dudes didn't want to be on the highlight reel is all. Excusable IMO.

It was already 51-10. I'm guessing that play wasn't the difference.

at that point in the game I'm betting it was younger backups who dont normally play that were supposed to be on the field.

Well who would they hire? No one is knocking on tulanes door for their coaching job.

I dont know, maybe they did and didnt the time out called fast enough.

We'd have to see the plays in the drive that led up to that play to see if there was some sort of confusion going on.

An up and coming offensive coach at a DIV III school that runs the spread, that wants to use Tulane as a stepping stone for 2-4 years for a better job.

I've got a coworker - Tulane season ticket holder who says they should give CJ a decade to build the program.

Ok but who?

SMU was fairly zeroed in on Chad Morris when they dumped June.

That was the first play of the drive. Tulane had kicked off after making a field goal.

Well then it seems highly likely there were two young backups who didn't know they were supposed to get in messed up.

Again, would have to see more to know if a Tulane coach was trying to call TO and didn't get it in.

Even if that isn't the case, to me that's on the DC for not getting his unit together. The HC shouldn't have to be counting players on the field. That's something an assistant should be taking care of.

It's the same song and dance with Tulane Athletics. The Administration threatened to shut down the football program and "fans and donors" came crawling under rocks to give their "support and allegedly saved the program". Now it's back to where it's always been, a shitty team with a crappy coaching staff. Doesn't suprise me one bit and it wouldn't shock me if they go winless

I highly doubt they lose to Maine and Army.

You think I know any Div III coaches?

I'm not paid to do that. But they need to get an offensive guy that has been successful at a lower level, that runs some variation of the spread or option. They cannot be successful at Tulane with a Pro-Style, and they need an exciting brand of football. Gotta do that with Offense.

Be a stepping stone school. Nothing wrong with that.

This is inexcusable. CJ needs to go.

Thank you.
He doesn't know what he's doing.
He was okay when he had Neu and Sumrall and a few other experienced assistants. But they left and he replaced them with h.s. coaches and locals.
