I thought the Mets said Tebow wasn't getting called up this year?

Hopefully. He was swinging at Vlad Guerrero type pitches last year.

He's going to do better but he's still going to struggle.. Moncada has a 28.6% strikeout rate in AAA this year. Hitters with strikeout rates that high in the minors rarely do well in the majors right away. Of course there are exceptions to the rule like George Springer and Kris Bryant but those guys were hitting like .330 in the minors with 40 dingers a year. Moncada hasn't shown anywhere near that type of hit tool yet. It's going to take some time for him to develop.

Seemed like this was coming. Last week, he briefly appeared on the Sox active roster on MLB.com before it was taken down after a couple of hours.

Didn't he have like 12 Ks in 19 ABs? I'm not sure he could do any worse even if he didn't make any changes.

His wOBA tells me can strike out 30% of the time in the bigs and be fine. Miguel Sano, Wil Myers, Khris Davis, Bellinger, Judge, Thames etc

K rates hovering around 30% aren't a death sentence

First hit with White Sox is 3 run triple.

He has 4 RBI tonight. I'm watching game on FSN Kansas City. White Sox system is so loaded it will be interesting to see how many amount to anything.

They have a lot of high upside/high risk guys right now. Really hope it works out but I feel better about the brave rebuild

I would have been pissed if my team traded Sale, but if half of all these prospects pan out the White Sox will be good.

I didn't love giving up the top prospect in baseball to get Sale but holy shite was that deal worth it. I'd make that trade again 100/100

Sale is under probably the best contract in the bigs. Three more years of team control with salaries in the mid to high teens

Absolutely. When you're in "win now" mode like the Red Sox, you pull the trigger. I was surprised the Yankees didn't try to get him.
