I have no need for excuses... what's your excuse for not showing me 9,999 other players that were better.... just keep running your big mouth....

I assure you that you can't name me 50 other backs that were better in the last 50 years.....

I'm not sure there are 50 better backs than Fournette; however, I wouldn't have Fournette on this list, even if it were the Top 100 players.

e could easily name 50 or more running backs that had better, more consistent careers. Two of his three seasons were not very good. I'm sure you'll make a lot of excuses, but ultimately his career was just ordinary.

If it's so easy, then do it.

I'll start with just a few from recent memory. Christian Mccaffrey, Ezekiel Elliot, and Derrick Henry all had better careers and that's just the past two years. This list spans fifty.

The fact that the blurb about Archie says he secured his fame in a memorable loss to Alabama is one of the most WAOM things ever.

Just shows you are biased the career rushing stats for all 4 are remarkably similar:

616 3830 6.2 40
632 3922 6.2 21
592 3961 6.7 43
602 3591 6.0 42

Derrick Henry's one phenomenal season was better than Fournette's. So was Mccaffrey's. Mccaffrey also had a season where he rushed for over 1,600, and he was a great kick returner too. He broke Barry Sanders all purpose yardage record. Elliot's career was more consistent. He had two phenomenal seasons and he played his best in the most important games unlike Fournette.

The only arguments you have for these guys over Fournette is accolades-based, Henry won the Heisman and performed well in the title game, so did Elliot in his title game however Elliot was second team all-America whereas Leonard was first team.

Ah moving the goal posts, always a Good sign

Again shows your extreme anti Fournette/LSU bias.
Henry played 3 more games and had 95 more carries in 2015 than Fournette he avg 147 ypg vs 162 for Fournette he also only had 1 season over 1000 yds and did play on a better team
CM was used more as a KR but avg 26 ypr same as Fournette
Elliott did had the best 2 seasons of the 4. He was also tak in the same draft spot as LF.
Also needs to be mentioned Fournette was hurt last year, had he stayed healthy he clearly would have more rushing yards by a decent amount but alas injuries are part of the game. The only big game he didn't show up for was Alabama, against one of the greatest defenses every with 2 of the worst game plans ever. Not really his fault .

ETA: Fournette played in 32 games, EE 35 CM 37 DH 39 keep that in mind when looking at the career rush stats.

Mike Rozier
Rashaan Salaam
Barry Sanders
Eddie George
Ricky Williams
Ron Dayne
Mark Ingram
Reggie Bush
Adrian Peterson
Marshall Faulk
Darren McFadden
Keith Byars
Ahman Green
Lawrence Phillips
Kevin Smith
Willis McGehee
Shaun Alexander
Steve Slaton
Quentin Griffin
Emmitt Smith
Garrett Wolfe
Avon Coburne
Mike Hart
Marcus DuPree
Darren Sproles
Eric Dickerson
Ladainian Tomlinson
Cedric Benson
DeAngelo Williams
Earl Campbell
Ray Rice
Montee Ball
CJ Spiller
LaMichael James
Derrick Henry
Christian McCaffrey

LOL Marcus DuPree?! That dude had one relatively solid year in the Barry Switzer Oklahoma offense and couldn't do squat in the years subsequent and you're arguing he's better than Fournette?! Presented list immediately invalidated.

Glorious, I give you props for the effort however spot checking your list you have some horrible picks. Marcus Dupree lol shows the power of myth and 30 for 30. Garrett Wolfe played at Norhtern Illinois
Keith Byars for had 619 3200 5.2 46 in 4 years, his best season was 336 174 5.3 22 in 12 games. LFs 2015 season is better
Mark Ingram 572 3261 5.7 42, only over 1000 once. Heisman season he had fewer yards and TDs in 2 more games than LFs best season.
Avon Cobourne 1023 5039 4.9 43, no chance he was a better college player.

That's pretty low.

I mean Elway is behind the Boz?

At least they put Emtman above the Boz; he was the most dominate D lineman I ever saw before Suh.

Like I said, I'm not claiming that they are better, just saying that it's arguable. However, I would say that I'd consider many of the names on that list to have had better careers than Fournette, which is why I said he wouldn't make my Top 100.

I didn't move them at all. I said those guys had better, more consistent college careers than Leonard Fournette, and when you look at their season statistics and accolades that is true.

Tony Dorsett did it for all 4 years and had over 2100 yards his senior year while the Heisman and a National Championship. He should have also won the Heisman in 1975 over Archie Griffin!
