ETA: No order, just putting down the top 5 IMO. Hard for me to put the old timers like Unitas, Bradshaw and Tark on my list. Also, I can't put Brees or Farve on the list as much as I love them.

But if you watch any NFL net or know the game you understand how they revolutionized game.

I think Van Brocklin's record still stands for yd's in a game.

I think Waterfield and Van Brocklin finished 1-2 inPass yd's while they platooned for Rams.

Never cared for Elway, but he is solid.

Mine are:

1. Montana
2. Manning
3. Brady
4. Marino
5. Bradshaw

Seems Favre is underrated in this thread. I know he played 300+ games, but isn't that a testament to how tough the guy was? Dude played through pain and tragedy in his personal life his whole career. Regardless of years and numbers the guy has a ring, 3 MVP's, and 9 pro bowls. He deserves to be in the top 5.

Favre is an enigma to me. He is not what he portrays himself but he is a helluva player.

I may have forgotten him, I was driving at the time I posted. I'd switch him and Unitas.

Why the love for Brady?
Dude hasn't won a Super Bowl after the patriots' defensive teams.

Who is "Bree's?" Is he related to Drew Brees, the quarterback?

I'll bet he was fun to watch.

did you ever see him play?

me, I just recall some older NFL Films clips.

closest I can get to it. Reading about what he did is cool but I'd rather see some actual highlight clips.
