He was great for 3 years and then he sucked. It wasn't the injury. That's just how it happens. He was at that age.

Honestly I would go so far as to guarantee it will happen, its the most patriot way thing ever. What better way to show you believe on the patriot way thing then to quit while you still have something in the tank to hand the team over to your backup who is ready and capable

So you think he's continuously lying.

He doesn't have to prove anything, and he doesn't need the money. He enjoys it

What does that even mean?

He had 3 significant injuries that stacked on top of each other. He relied entirely on his legs to drive the ball downfield after his surgery, and then he was unable to do that his last season.

Injuries are exactly how it happens. There is a huge difference in what Brady does to take care of his body compared to Manning. Manning was never a workout warrior. Brady trains his arse off.

As long as he has protection and a great play caller, he'll play for several more years!!

Yea, that is what makes those injuries hard to overcome.

Brady is the same age Manning was last year....

In 2015, over 80% of Tom Brady's throws were in under 2.5s. The rest of the NFL was at 63%

quote:

Brady's 80.58 percent rate of passes within 2.5 seconds of the snap also leads the NFL. It's not only safely ahead of the next-closest quarterback (Philip Rivers at 74.56 percent), but it is also the highest rate in the history of PFF's database. Manning's 2014 rate of 68.1 percent was the previous high for a full season. For what it's worth, five different quarterbacks -- Brady, Rivers, Manning, Matthew Stafford and Andy Dalton -- have topped that mark so far this year.

Brady gets too good protection to get seriously injured like that.

One, Brady isn't mobile like Rodgers but he has great footwork he uses to slide away from pressure. The moment he can't slide the way he is accustomed to doing is when his performance will begin to drop off.

Secondly, have you forgotten that Brady missed an entire year with MCL & ACL tears in one of his knees?

quote:

Medical tests on the knee, including an MRI performed Monday, indicated no damage to other ligaments, and no torn cartilage. In cases like this, doctors typically wait for the MCL to heal, then reconstruct the ACL. Brady will likely undergo surgery in approximately one month and face 6-9 months of recovery and rehabilitation, barring complications.

He's faster at 39 than he was at 22

The difference between the two is so insignificant, it's irrelevant.

He's always looked like he was running in quicksand.

Faster for Brady means from snail like to tortoise like. His footwork is phenomenal but Brady isn't going to extend plays with his legs. He will manipulate the pocket to buy time though. He is the GOAT when it comes to that. He & Montana are unmatched in footwork.

You can't compare Peyton to Brady in terms of how they'll age. Peyton's injury was a permanent nerve issue throughout his throwing arm. It's not something he just recovered from . He was able to compensate for it in other ways, but as he got older his body just started to break down from it. Brady doesn't have anything similar. It's dumb to act like Peyton completely recovered and then just fell off of a cliff due to age while he was healthy. He was never the same again after the fusion surgeries
