Butch works with what he has.. rickie fowler doesn't swing like phil mickelson.. and butch has helped rickie by reducing the burden on his back..

A few weeks back on one of the broadcasts, the announcers (Faldo & Nance, I believe) discussed the possibility of Harmon becoming Tiger's coach. They showed a quote from Harmon which all but ruled out any possibility of that happening. Basically, Harmon is already on record as stating he wants no part of that drama machine.

Finally. Chamblee was digging at Foley so hard a few weeks ago saying that the swing is causing Tiger's back issues.

Interesting timing considering a Foley guy just won the Barclay's over the weekend....

However, I think most can agree that whatever dynamic there was between Tiger and Sean just wasn't working out.

What remains to be seen is whether this is really the beginning of the end, or if Tiger finds a new coach (or an old one) and gets a few more big years out of that body of his....

Tiger is too bulky and his swing has fluidity to it. He tries to muscle every swing.

His swing was soo much better when he was younger, limber and had a tempo to it.

Well it's about fricking time.. Chamblee is always blasted for essentially being honest about tiger..

Tiger needs to swallow the pride and beg Harmon or get some young guy that's willing to dedicate everything to him. Fix Tigers driving and he starts winning majors again..

this..

it's funny b/c you watch him on the range and he makes nice smooth swings with good tempo.. and then he tries to destroy it on every tee box..

He's always been one to go after it with his swings. Him swinging hard isn't anything new.

Chamblee was just trumpeting what others were already saying.

Dear Tiger,
Please turn off your brain and leave Foley on the range. You'll stop missing it both ways.
Sincerely,
A Player Who's Been There

McLachlin isn't the only person in golf that thinks Woods has made a mistake with Foley. Paul Azinger, joining the Mighty 1090 show (audio right here), talked Tiger and his struggles on the golf course. Azinger thinks it's the instruction that has been a big problem for Tiger the last few years.

"His instruction, I just feel is way off base at this point. For him to have a two-way miss and not be able to fix it ... I've never been the player that Tiger Woods has been, but I never had a two-way miss, at least nothing that ever lasted more than a day.

The Golf Channel recently had a back specialist on & it was his opinion that it's Tiger's swing that it keeps messing up his back. And he added that it won't get better, only worse if Woods keeps it as is. As for his muscling his swings, it's been said by many that Woods wants to be considered an elite "athlete", i.e. built like one & playing through pain. I have no idea but how many times did Jack change his instructor/s over the course of a season?

and foley's big draw was that he was one of the first to teach based off of trackman numbers and tiger loved analyzing the data..

now every coach uses this technology to some degree..

I feel like everyone in golf has been saying Tiger needs to lose Foley.

Hasn't been one poster on here or one media member.

Jack only had 2 coaches that i know of: Jack Grout and Jim Flick. And he only added Flick because Jack Grout passed away after being his coach for 40 years.
