They have that look like they could be the red hot team come post season time. Just call it a hunch.

in a few years, RG3 is more likely to be hurt and out of the league than playing in the Super Bowl.

People like you make me laugh. Clearly you weren't around for Steve Young's rookie season.

I hope not. I really like RG3, but Dan Snyder is a certifiable POS.

Redskins have lost too many players on Defense to make a serious run this year. They lost Orakpo, Carriker and their two starting safety's for the year.

It's A MONTH UNTIL THE PLAYOFFS EVEN BEGIN.

Let's check back week 15 and see how they were doing.

Last year, the Giants got their arse kicked by a shitty Redskins team and everybody wrote their obituary. And that happened later in the season than the game that was played last night.

are you speaking of his rookie year in the USFL?
Or, are you referring to his first year with the Bucs, in which he played in only 5 games?

BTW, RG3 already has more rushing attempts than Steve Young had in any one season in his entire career. The most rushes that Young had was 76 in 1992, his 8th year in the NFL. RG3 also has more yards rushing than any year that Steve Young played in the NFL, which was also 1992, Young's 8th year in the league. Steve Young and RG3 are absolutely nothing alike, in any way. RG3 is on pace to have 140 attempts his rookie year.

In fact, RG3 is running more than even Randall Cunningham. Cunningham ran a career high 118 times in 1990, his 6th season. Maybe RG3 is more like Michael Vick? Oh wait, the most attempts Vick ever had was 123 in 2006, his 6th season in the NFL.

RG3 is rushing the football at a higher pace than any QB in NFL history. And, he's doing it much earlier in his career than any QB in NFL history. He isn't going to last.

You admit that he is doing things that have never been done so how can you know if he will last or not? If the Redskins didnt think he could take it they wouldn't let him do what he does. No offense but I would have to guess they know more about football and his health than you do.

If we don't have to play any teams that throw the forward pass we are golden. Otherwise, we fricked.

Seriously, going into the season the team knew it's secondary was going to be pretty bad. They could live with this because it was expected that the pass rush would take some of the pressure off of that arse clown Hall and his band of merry idiots to maintain coverage. When Carricker and Orakpo went down, that went out the window.

The offense has been putting up a ton of points compared to our last few years, all we need is a middle of the road defense and we are a contender. Not this year however.

I'm sure they do. But, Shanahan is also in a position where if he doesn't win now, he's gonna get fired. Same thing for a GM. That changes things. My position is based on history in the NFL. Historically, when QBs start rushing 100+ times a season, they don't last very long, and their efficiency begins to go down. This is my opinion based on historical evidence. Can RG3 buck the trend? Sure. But, it is very unlikely.

You must be one of those people that haven't watched him play much and assume he's Michael Vick scrambling around and getting crushed. Sure he takes some hard hit's but not nearly as many as you'd think; many of those rush attempts turn into nobody touching him or barely touching him before he goes out of bounds and goes down. Also RGIII is an excellent passer who doesn't need to rely on his legs to effective like Vick, Cam Newton, and even more so Tebow. Once RGIII is a few years into the league you'll see a lot less running bc they'd rather him be passing, he's ridiculously accurate.
Will he always run more than the average QB? I'm sure he will, but that doesn't mean he's not a passer or that he's constantly taking hard hits.
Rushing attempts =/= hard hits; ask Jay Cutler

I never said that rushing attempts = hard hits. But > rushing attempts means > chance of hard hits that can cause injury. The fact that he runs so much alone puts him in a position to be injured more often than other QBs. Sure, he isn't getting hit hard right now. But, if he keeps doing this over the next 2-3 seasons, he will get hit hard eventually.
