That's a lot of money for finishing second place

How in the hell is he second place? He's up to #10 last year and ended up as #12 the prior year.

Well to steal a successful NFL coach I would think they may have to outbid the NFL.

when Harbaugh was hired, his contract was 7 years at 5 million/year. He received a raise after his first season at Michigan

One of these is overhyped and hasn't accomplished anything. You choose which one.

From a losing season to back to back 10 win seasons isn't accomplishing anything? I'm not saying it is on the level with Saban, but his turnaround in Ann Arbor was pretty impressive.

I am just saying he is making more than coaches who have accomplished a ton more and hasn't won anything.

he coached at San Diego (lower level FCS) and Stanford.... he didnt have an opportunity to win anything.

When did Saban start making $11 large per year? Last I heard it was $7 ish.
Remember not to long ago when people were butt hurt at $4? Lol.

Harbaugh's compensation is largely a result of some crazy life insurance policy.

Tells you something when your school's fans are so maladjusted you have to take out a huge life insurance policy on your crazy coach to placate him and his family. Maybe it has a policy rider about sleepovers with HS kids.

Stanford was what Kansas is now before Harbaugh got there and the 49ers were one of the worst teams in football. He got them to the NFCCG in his first season.

Michigan had some talent but was softer than baby shite under Brady Hoke. Harbaugh had that fixed in about 3 weeks.

The guy can coach. This year may be a little down by his standards but they'll be among the 3-4 best teams in the country in 2018
