Not the same IMO. Catholic has allowed certain kids to come to their school who definitely wouldn't have made it on grades. Jesuit doesn't have near the athletes Catholic does. Also, many kids who could be great athletes simply don't want to deal with the amount of busy work Jesuit gives their students. There are too many options here in NOLA for school unlike BR.

Probably so. I am not too familar with the culture and daily routine of Jesuit HS. But the potential has been there for Jesuit for a long time.

Catholic of BR has had some out standing talent over the years.

West Monroe has been their achilles-heal over the years in football. I know WM has beat them 4-5 times in the playoffs, a few times in the sem-final game.

It seemed like when CHS was having a good year, they would draw WM in their playoff bracket.

Acadiana may be a top national team by the end of the year

Acadiana always has a solid team, but I don't see them being nationally ranked. The offensive backfield alone will have 3 new faces and some big shoes to fill. D-line needs to replace 3 quality guys. Offensive line will be good like always and the defensive back 7 may be one of the best in the state. But Acadiana losing their qb and two starting running backs is like other teams losing their entire offense. It will be interesting to see who they have back there..

I think Acadiana's being ranked bc they were #1 in Louisiana last year, and they still should be good. I mean to not be ranked, someone has to beat them, and they dont have to beat Warren Easton or Rummel or Curtis to win state

Yeah they lost a good bit but return the main skill players on offense.

The new coach has been there for 17 years. He's been the DC there since 1999 and so has the OC. Other than Kenny G. not being the head coach, not much will be different.

I'm surprised they're #7 though. Next season, and the 2 after that will be some really, really good PBS teams
