re: The Tom Herman era begins at LSU

One of the things that still gets under my skin is how sanguine some of the LSU fans who didn't think it was a great hire were when Ogre was hired. Especially the argument that went something like: "well, he's a good recruiter so even if he fails it won't be that bad. he'll still leave behind some talent."

1) He did not recruit near the top of the conference as head coach before
2) That's not what you hire a head coach for. Recruiting coordinator is an assistant coach position.
3) Sucking at the level he sucked at before is nothing to take lightly. At a minimum he should have taken a job at a lower tier school to show he could build a program before getting a job at a major football program.

Agreed. I was at work I seriously questioned if I was dreaming. How the hell, in 2 days, did we go from having Tom herman as our hc to ed fricking orgeron?
