Staying at UH alone was doing a hell of a lot better than going to South Carolina.

With competent coaching, LSU could be nearly at Alabama's level.

The # of players in the NFL shows that LSU during the Miles era is at the same general talent level as Bama. The difference is coaching.

Has a lot talent in Houston area, and tons of talent in the state of Texas.

UH will never get enough of that talent to compete at the highest level. They have no footprint outside of Houston. LSU gets more highly rated recruits out of Texas than Houston already.

Actually no. If they drop a game to anyone they're out. The playoff committee would likely put a two loss SEC or B1G champion in before a 1 loss Houston. They'd probably put a 1 loss SEC, B1G, PAC-12, or ACC champion over an undefeated UH. He could lose as many as 2 games at LSU and still get in as long as we win the SEC. Their SOS will always be too weak due to their shite conference.

He won't sniff a playoff at LSU, while Saban is at bama.

OM beat Bama two out of the last three years with vastly inferior talent. LSU is the only team in the NCAA outside of Ohio State and FSU that can compete with Alabama as far as talent is concerned. With the right coaching the Bama-LSU game will be the pseudo-championship game it once was.

And we'll break the fricking bank for Herman. Our boosters are desperate at this point. They raised 18 million dollars to buyout Les and his staff last season in less than 5 days. If Herman is the least bit interested LSU will get it done.
