Oh yea? When have I ever bragged about Cardinals fans?

Always on your mind though...

Oh I guess I misunderstood. I didn't realize you were only talking about one individual fan in this thread, not the fanbase.

Yes they are. They are one of the dirtiest teams in the league. Only reason why they even beat the Havs last year was because they took out their goalie. The Rag$ are trash.

It's statements like this that are making me paranoid as hell. The Caps are an overwhelming favorite in "expert predictions". I think sites are picking the Caps at a near 4 to 1 rate. That's f'n terrifying.

Because I don't see this massive mismatch. The teams are REALLY even, and even built surprisingly similarly. I think this is a trap.

7 of the last 9 Caps' series have gone seven games. I think it will be 8 of 10 in two weeks time. And, well, we all know how the Caps do in Game 7's.

Please go review this play without your hate goggles on. CK20 is a big body player with a lot of speed and goes hard to the crease like every coach tells their wings to do on a rush. This is never a dirty play, unfortunately someone got injured as a result.

It is a contact sport and you can not say after a honest view of that CK20 injuring CP31 that it was malicious or even intentional.

Do they really have many? Seems more like a hipster choice (see Draconian Sanctions) than real hardcore fans.

Hawkytown and their bandwagoners annoy me. I have some issues with the Cubs lemmings in Chicago, but at least they are loyal through thick and thin.

Y'all have convinced me Detroit is going down. Big issue here is the goalie situation. Babcock is going with Mrazek in game 1. I think it's deserved.

I'm most excited about Sens/Habs. Rangers and Caps should roll IMO.

No idea what is going to happen in the west. I never liked Calgary when I was growing up, but I would love to see them or Winnipeg make a run for Canada. I think it's funny no one ever talks about the Ducks.

Kreider is a dirtbag. He ran three goalies in 25 games. That has to be a record. Even the Hockey News called him a habitual goalie crasher.

LINK /

I don't think the Rangers are a dirty team, but Kreider certainly wouldn't be the hill Rag fans should die on. It's not like he's just run one goalie.

My picks for 1st round East

Rangers in 5: Purely since the Pens are depleted and King Henrik

Caps in 6: Too much fire for Washington. Halak won't steal a second series from Washington. Trotz's style of play will not allow for it.

Tampa in 6: Detroit has a mess between the pipes. No clear go to guy. Tampa got a taste of the playoffs, but have their goalie. If there is an upset, this series will produce it though. Would not be shocked to see Detroit win this series, Babcock is that good.

The good guys in 7: Ottawa can't really stay this hot can they? Hoping the PP and CP31 exorcise some demons. I feel the Elf and Pernell play big as they typically do in big situations. Hamburglar being on Hextal/Roy run makes it 7.

Here is where I am struggling, there is always an upset in the first round, but I did not pick one.

The Isles are just so poorly coached I don't see them even winning a game. Bright side is that they should have a new coach next season.

It was 100% intentional. Your head coach has a long track record of having teams he coaches being dirty as frick.

Vigneault is the worst coach in NHL history in my humble opinion. He is the reason that the Habs just crumbled. I hate him more than I am scared of the annual CP31 fold, if that tells you anything.

I put Vigneault ahead of Mr Spaceley in terms of ruining franchises. The long time regulars know of my disdain for Mr Spaceley (Mike Keenan)

I see this being tight as well going 6 or 7, with a lot of firewagon hockey.

If the Caps play firewagon against the Isles, they are going to get their asses kicked. Caps have the far better blueline, while the Isles have better forward depth. They want to play the end to end game. We want the game to be slow and heavy.

I see you're working the reverse jinx. Good strategy. I like it.

This is a great playoffs because this is literally the most unpredictable field I've ever seen. Only ONE first round series involves two teams separated by over 10 points in the standings (Rangers-Pens). Six teams in the East had 100 points, and only two cracked 110. Five teams in the West had 100, and no one cracked 110. This is a WIDE OPEN tournament. Literally anyone can win this thing (except the Flames, let's not get silly)

PICKS
Habs in 7. The Sens have to cool off, right? Right?!

Bolts in 5. This is the only series I feel is a mismatch, and that just involved me picking against the best coach in hockey. Make it Bolts in 6.

Rangers in 6. The Pens actually get to use a 6th defenseman, so that's nice. Rags are too deep and too good. They also don't have Fleury turning into pumpkin in net.

Caps in 7. The fastest paced team vs. the second slowest. And the Caps are the slow team. In the playoffs, take the team that's comfortable playing at a snail's pace.

Jets in 7. Speaking of which... the Jets played super slow and physical, and the Ducks want to play in space, which will not exist in the playoffs.

Flames in 6. Why the hell not? Nothing about their run makes any goddamned sense, so why not a series win?

Blues in 7. Man, thanks for nothing, right? Win the toughest division in hockey, get a date with the Wild, who are playing better than anyone. Nightmare.

Hawks in 6. Has anyone else noticed the Preds kinda played like crap in the second half, and the top line stopped scoring almost entirely?

With regards to the firewagon hockey...those were Brouwer's words on 106.7 today.

Probably him just getting the fans a little more excited though.
