Once the Caps lost, the Hawks winning was the least objectionable outcome for me. That's not precisely rooting, but close enough. Seeing them celebrate causes me little pain, which is the best you can say about watching another team celebrate.

Was coming in to post something similar. Stevie Y has built a hell of a roster. Gotta like their chances to win at least 1 of the next 5 Cups. This year was a major step forward and they should be proud. Grats to Hawk fans.

Great series Chicago, and congratulate on winning the greatest trophy in sports. Your team knows how to finish and win. Hopefully the Lightning takes those lessons from learns from all this.
The Lightning need to realizes finishing teams when you've got them down is very important. Plus, you do have to play so many playoff games....lol Chicago understood this and what it takes to be champions.
What a great season the Lightning had. I knew they'd be OK in the future but this early "Cup" run was unexpected. What a fun ride this has been and we've had some sweet memories.

3/6 years in a salary cap sport era is remarkable. The cap will hurt next season but we have enough young talent to make another run even if we lose a few guys like Sharp. We need to get better on defense though and not kill ourselves by only having 3 guys out there most of the time.
