and that is LONG GONE

no question. it's still compelling to watch whenever he is on the course, and the field still respects what he has accomplished, but there are some badass golfers nowadays that don't care about him that much

he just QUIT cause he was failing so bad that he was in last place and couldn't handle it.

I think he's in pain, but it would have been tolerable had he not shot a 42 on the front 9. he knows he needs to play to get ready for the Open, but he didn't want to continue the embarrassment while hurting

overrated. holding the scoring record in every major has nothing to do with "tiger factor."

well his setting the records helped create the tiger factor. he was unbeatable for a while there, and it affected the play of the others

he was unbeatable because he was that much better than everyone else not because of the "tiger factor."

Him being SO much better than others is WHAT created the TIGER FACTOR.

i just don't think it affected everyone else's play as much as people think. a lot of the poor play can blamed on major championship pressure. just look at mcilroy, dj and watney in the last year. also, a bunch of people played really well against tiger in majors - bob may, dimarco, yang, etc.
