Sucks for Lloyd, he basically torpedoed his own free agency chances last year by professing he wanted to sign with the Patriots, and he gets released a year later. Someone will grab him though.

Yet again, if you don't have good production in the Patriots system, it's your problem.

If Pittsburgh doesn't match and the Pats send their 3rd round pick to the Steelers, that will leave Belichick with only 4 picks in this year's draft - a 1st, a 2nd and two 7ths. Quite a change from the team's usual draft-day surplus of picks!

I think thats the only thing holding BB back from doing it.

But based on history, we suck in the 3-5 rounds we make our money in the 1-2 and 6-7 round, so frick that 3rd round pick

But seriously i know Bill loves his draft picks, but they wont have many as it is, might as well get a young explosive WR while your at it, especially given how uncertain the corp is now. Trade down from the first like you always do and pick up as many picks as you can

Ok Brandon Lloyd, you go on that side and run routes while Welker and Gronk are bracketed and more people care about AHern than you.

CBS Sports' Mike Freeman reports teams are interested in free agent Randy Moss, but he has gone silent on his plans for 2013.
Moss is still deciding whether to continue his playing career. Moss isn't viewed as a starter, but some teams believe he can be a valuable part of their receiving corps. The 36-year-old would likely only consider signing with a contender.

Craig Dahl - DB - 49ers
49ers signed S Craig Dahl, formerly of the Rams, to a three-year contract.
Dahl, 28 in June, started all 16 games in 2012, racking up 78 tackles, two pass breakups, and one interception. Dahl isn't a sure tackler and oftentimes gets lost in coverage, so he'll likely be the third safety in San Francisco. Look for the 49ers to target someone like Charles Woodson or an early draft pick to replace Dashon Goldson in the starting lineup.

Lloyd is on the wrong side of 30 but he did have a 70 catch season and was looking to restructure. I'd be interested to see if he lost it (ala Chad Johnson) or goes somewhere else and has a decent season.

He'll catch on somewhere.

I was kind of trolling saying he was bad, but it was obvious his chemistry with Brady wasn't exactly great.

If anyone knows how to get the most out of Brandon Lloyd, its Josh Mcdaniels.

CBS Sports' Jason LaCanfora reports that Elvis Dumervil has agreed to sign with agent Tom Condon.
Dumervil's fired player rep, Marty Magid, waived the five-day waiting period to hire a new agent, so he's now available to sign with teams immediately. The Ravens have Dumervil "firmly" on their radar and are expected to meet with him next week. The Titans and Patriots have also shown interest, though New England can likely be ruled out given their history with Condon.

Not true....
Look at his targets, everything was down. He really was option #3/4 depending on who was on the field where when McDaniels had him in Denver he was option #1.

So he struggled with less coverage on him? That makes sense....

Not struggled but not as many opportunities to make plays
Seeing 4/5 balls a game <<<<< seeing 7/8 a game

Doesn't matter what kind of coverage if ball is going to 3 other options before you

The shitstorm he caused with Ben Watson's rookie contract.

quote:

The feud goes back to 2004 when the Patriots drafted Ben Watson in the first round of the draft. At the time, New England insisted that all players taken in the first round sign six-year deals, something Condon was averse to. Watson eventually caved and New England and Condon became engaged in a cold war. Some time during the feud, Condon told the Boston Herald that he operates as if "there are 31 franchises in the NFL now and they pretend we don't exist."
