I played HS football. My brother coached on the HS level, and it's amazing how much more he knows about the game than I do. Extrapolate that to the college level. Coaches vary in ability, but the worst of them know exponentially more than the most rabid fan.

I would say fans who are more worried about what what fans of other schools and the media call them than they are about their teams' success
