WM has been outhit both games and made multiple errors in the field both games. Not sure how WM "let Sulphur off the hook". Your starting to sound like a sore loser when you should actually give Sulphur some credit. They have just been the better team this weekend.

You missed the sarcasm. It was a quote from Dennis Green when Arizona lost to the Bears early in the year. The Bears went on to the Super Bowl that year.

Sulphur is clearly the better team. Without the wacky play in the 5th, Sulphur likely doesn't even bat in the 7th last night.

Wish the finals was a series with those 2 teams. Both very deep and honestly just better than everyone else in the state. Congrats to both teams.

Please don't take this the wrong way because I was impressed with WM but they aren't one of the top 2 teams in 5a this year. In my opinion they wouldn't have finished top 3 in district 3-5a and I saw every team in our district at least once. I will agree I wish we did best 2 of 3 all the way through finals.

Sidenote, has anyone ever won a state championship without having to play a single game away from home? Even the state championships are at Sulphur. Not saying that's why they won, they would have won if the game was on the moon. Just wondering if that has ever happened.

i'm sure jesuit has probably done it... okay maybe not a HOME stadium but they've probably won two playoff games at home and then a three game state tournament in Orleans (or Jefferson) Parish

My bad just re-read the post. Thanks for correcting me. Catholic will definitely be tough to beat by whoever they face.

Likely 3rd. WM beat the shite out of Sam Houston 10-1 in their one game this year.
