When players hit mid 30's each additional year is a big leap compared to your 20's. There was a clear drop in his defense last season. He's still got offensive ball left in him. But for 82 games? No way. Not at this stage of his career. They might get 65 regular season games out of him.

Boogie has been a loser his entire career. If anything this helps the Lakers

As they deserve to under MJ's watch.

Great player, beyond terrible owner.

A shame Kemba wasted his prime there.

Who knew Marcin Gortat would someday become a better P&R option and interior defender than D12

Thats a solid 11th place team right there

before signing cousins many tv guys had them hosting first round.
TD had them in the growling pit with dallas, pels, kings, fighting for 7th 8th, 9th.

Can they trade 1st in 3034 for a wing?
Two best. Davis and james.

Kuzma probably isn't starting but will be a super 6th man because Lebron isn't chasing around guards/wings for 30+ mins a night. Javel may start to satisfy AD'd dislike for playing Center, but he will probably only see 20 mins a night. AD is going to have to play center in order for them to get another guard on the floor.

Admittedly, I’m not the brightest crayon in the box, but I’m failing to see the correlation with the chart provided and the point that the OP is trying to make

Except this:

@JaredSGreenberg In the wake of the DeMarcus Cousins news a high ranking member of the Lakers tells me that they do not expect nor do they want Anthony Davis to play “big minutes” at center this season @NBATV

At least the Hornets have the excuse that their last GM, Rich Cho, signed up most of that gaggle of a-holes to unmoveable contracts.

MJ is still the true albatross around that franchise’s neck.

Lebron’s defensive +/- last season was higher than his last year in Miami. He’s actually had like five years worse than that.

That team had no shooters. Not that complicated.

All his actual defensive numbers were solid last year. People go off eye test a lot, but he was 1st on the Lakers in on/off court, DWS, percentage differences and loose balls recovered before he got shut down.

This board is pretty chock full of people who badly want LeBron to fail, but his actual performance last year wasn't bad. It was slightly down from his usual, but his usual might be the best in NBA history.
