Did anyone else see this piece tonight? I'm glad his name has been cleared. It's too bad he can't get the 5 years he spent in prison back. Also, frick the lying whore that put him in prison in the first place.

Before clicking on the link, was this the guy from LA who played high school football and was convicted of statutory rape that he never committed?

Why did he plead guilty? Terrible legal advice?

Sometimes pleading guilty even when innocent is a smart move.

Aggravated rape carries a mandatory life sentence. If there is an offer to reduce the charge and take 5 years,it is something to consider. Especially when a "victim" is going to testify and tell the jury she was raped by the defendant at the defense table.

I hope he makes an NFL roster one day. What a story that would be.

She should be in prison. I know a law outlawing crying wolf when it comes to rape will never pass, but it should.

Glad I don't have to worry about having an accusation like this against me.

I agree that there should be a law against crying wolf.

Pretty sure falsely reporting a crime and perjury are illegal.

How often do people go to jail for perjury? It's incredibly hard to prove and more likely than not a waste of time to bring the claim. People lie all the time on the stand.

Great move by Pete Carroll... My question though is after being exonerated , wouldn't have have all 4 years left of NCAA eligibility ... Why try and go from high school to jail to the NFL... Wouldn't you think someone would give him a scholarship , even a small school or D2 or D3 school and then he could have a better chance at the NFL after college

the reason why she is not going to jail is because "it will discourage other false accusers from coming forward and exonerating the innocent" pretty much they don't want to scare other girls who lie about being raped from doing the right thing eventually, which is kind of BS. She also blew all the settlement money (which came from the school which came from the taxpayers) so the state will not be able to get any of its money back. The girl apparently already has multiple kids on government support programs.

The bottom line of this whole situation is some girl lied about getting raped, got a lot of money, blew it and suffered no other consequences while some innocent kid spent 5 years in jail and got his chance at higher education and possibly a professional NFL career destroyed in the process.

ahhhh america

Meanwhile we will continue to foot the bill for her sorry arse through welfare assistance until the day she dies.

It was an excellent piece on Banks. I hope he gets all that he deserves in life including playoff for an NFL team soon.

EASILY addressed. If they come forward and acknowledge the lie, the penalty should be minimal.

If they are CAUGHT lying like this bitch was, then they should receive the EXACT same sentence that would've been asked of the accused and not one fricking day less.

Exactly. They are not one and the same. If someone reports a rape, the people she accuses will be arrested. If someone lies, they should arrest and prosecute them. I don't see how this scares away an actual rape victim? It's not like they are going to arrest women if a guy is acquitted of rape. It's more like this situation where the bitch admitted it.

She should have to work every fricking day for the rest of her life to pay some restitution. She should sit in a jail cell for a year at least. She ruined this young man's most important years for his profession. I wish him luck in making it.

That would be the hardest thing for me; getting out of jail and not killing that bitch and going to jail for the rest of my life.

5 fricking years of my life and possibly not making it to the NFL where I had a great chance before?

he's a standup guy, he has publicly stated that he forgives her and that he doesn't want any charges bought against her, me on the other hand...
