My early thoughts:
Australia
England
South Africa
Samoa
New Zealand
Argentina
Ireland
France
QFs
England beats SA
Australia beats Samoa
France shocks NZ (not really, but I am praying)
Ireland gets over the hump and makes QF beating Argentina
England defeats France/NZ
Ireland beat Australia
England reign supreme and break Irish hearts
(I am team anyone but NZ..)

Well traditionally they aren't always as dominate at the world cup. And its not in New Zealand this time.
Still I'd think you'd have to put them as the clear favorites. Ireland looks like a contender and England is strong too and playing at home but they are in the group of death. South Africa and Australia are always southern hemisphere powers but have been to inconsistent as of late and I don't think France, Argentina or Samoa are at a level right now to win a world cup.
So basically New Zealand, Ireland and England I think are the teams with the best chance at winning.

Team Ireland for me!

It'd be pretty cool if they could get their first win over New Zealand at the World Cup.
Of course the most memorable upset of the All Blacks at the World Cup, Team France

I love that game...but still prefer the 2007 game.. Chabal and others just looking at them during the Haka was just great.

Who all is making the trip over to see a game?
Im heading over Sept 16 and staying in Manchester for a few days and play in a match with Preston. Then heading down to Brighton to watch USA/Samoa before staying in London for 4 days. Meeting the wife and heading to Edinburgh for 5 days prior to heading back to Texas.

Flying out on the 16th....
Italy-France - Twickenham on the 19th
USA - Samoa - Brighton on the 20th
Then flying out to Kiev on Sunday night until the following Friday as anniversary present for the wife. Then back and to Leeds for Canada-Italy and USA-Scotland.
And then back home for two and half weeks, and flying back over for the QFs in Wales where I hope to see NZ-France and Ireland-Argentina.
Also, was already going to be in Chicago over Labor Day so going to the USA-Australia game.
I am so ready for this to start.

That is quite the match schedule.
2 trips across the pond in a month is too rich for my blood.

jealous of you guys, but I spent 2 weeks in New Zealand and 1 in Australia for the 2011 RWC.
I'll be living vicariously at Finn McCools.

I'm seriously considering taking a semester off from school to go to London this year. My brother and dad are renting a flat for three weeks outside of London. I just know I'm sure to have a few exams during that time and I've no more room to bullshite classes.

Wish I could go this year, but my family decided that we were going to Hawaii for a trip this year, and thats where most of my money went. Ill have to watch the tournament from the bar here in Nashville.

Great thread for your first post.
As for your list of favorite games. I didnt start playing until 2005 so my exposure to rugby played before then is pretty limited.
