Even if we keep Gonzo, you think Pastornicky will get called up to give Uggla and Gonzo some days off now and then? Right now, they have both played 120+ games. Only Freeman is above 100 (also 120+) besides the two middle infielders.

In terms of next year, I think they'd keep him at Gwinnett to get playing time. I was wondering whether we may get to see him this year when rosters expand. I know he tweaked something in his leg I believe a few weeks back. Haven't seen anything on who they expect to be called up. I hope so though.
I mean hell, he'd most likely be an upgrade over Lugo!

Gonzo will likely sign a one year deal imo. Pastornicky will be on the big club next year, but no way is he the everyday SS imo.

I wouldn't mind this at all if he keeps up the defense, I can live with him being our 7 or 8 hitter again next year. It's not like Pastornicky would be any large improvement

Good to see that Fredi trusts Martinez and Viz enough to use them in high leverage situations. Hopefully it will result in fewer innings for O'Ventbrel.
