Venters wore down at the end of last year. I think the overwork thing is blown a bit out of proportion, but it's still a bad idea to ask one guy to pitch more than 2 nights in a row on a regular basis.

Can we trade for the worst catcher in the Braves system? Chris Stewart is so fricking terrible. Terrible throw to 2nd that goes into the outfield and moves the runner to 3rd then he misses an easy tag at home on a ground ball then makes a poor throw to 2nd again runner safe. frick this motherfricker.

We paid $1 for Wil Nieves.
We'll trade him to you for $2.
Moneyball baby! Doubling our profits!

***JASON HEYWARD
On hitting grand slam to opposite field, applying what he’s been working on
“Yeah, I wasn’t exactly sure when it was going to show up, but tonight’s definitely a good start for that.”
On having so much success in couple of visits to Wrigley (9-for-16 with three homers, eight RBIs)
“I think it’s just worked out that way. I really felt our bullpen was huge tonight, man. They removed a lot of pressure on us hitters. We get out there in the field and think they have a great chance to score some runs again, and our bullpen shuts ‘em down.”
On having such a major impact on team’s sixth straight win
“It felt pretty good tonight. I tried to stay simple and not do too much. It showed.”
On staying positive through recent struggles and benching
“It’s not easy when you’re not playing every day, but I understand the situation we have at hand. I want to win games. I want to go to the playoffs and I want to experience that again. We want to go as far as possible. I definitely understand I’m not going to be in there every day. I’ve just got to make the most of it.”

He's a stand up guy. In his TV interview immediately following the game, when asked about his grand slam he wouldn't even talk about it. Went right towards how awesome the bullpen was.

I hope he's finally turning it around. If Heyward gets on track our offense will be pretty stout.

Hate to see anyone get hurt, but maybe Constanza tweaking that ankle will get JHey back on track.
